Pentecost Celebration

Pentecost brings the Easter Season to an end but the mystery of the passion death and resurrection of the Lord has to be before us throughout the year. At the vigil of Pentecost which will be May 18 we will be celebrating the Holy Spirit descending upon the Church represented by the apostles and Mary the mother of Jesus. One of the attributes of the Holy Spirit is the unity of a universal Church, a truly Catholic Church which includes the many cultures of the world.

We want to celebrate our Catholic Church at the vigil of Pentecost with a Mass at 5 pm which will include a number of the languages of our parish community.

After Mass we will move to the parish hall to share the different cultural expressions of our community through food, song and dance. We also ask parishioners to come dressed in their cultural garbs.

Please call the parish office to let us know that you will be bringing food to share that day and also to let us know if you will be performing with regard to song and dance or any other cultural manifestation by May 6th.
